New botanical garden in Florida

The world’s first «net positive energy» botanical garden has been completed, a project integrated into a three-year master plan led by landscape architecture firm Olin in collaboration with Overland Architects to expand the 15-acre Sarasota campus of the Marie Selby Botanical Garden (Florida), an institution dedicated to research and education on aerial plants and native plant species.

Totaling 17,468 square feet (17,468 square meters), the new buildings encompass a multipurpose parking lot, research center, and ticket booth, which are clustered in one corner of the property.
