Worrell Yeung renovates a New York farmhouse

A historic New York estate, the North Salem Farm home and studio has been renovated with a series of gabled buildings clad in various finishes and wood accents. The project has a total of 610 square meters and continues the study’s interest in expressing the architectural volume through a simplification of the elements. The studio gutted and expanded the 4,500-square-foot rectangular home into an L-shaped plan with overlapping roofs, adding a separate garage and studio, and a single-sloped spa shed, each with its own material treatment.
