‘Sixth & Blanco’, the new project by Herzog & de Meuron, will be a continuous horizontal wood structure and will be found among vernacular storefronts, restaurants, shops, galleries, tree-lined streets and pedestrian routes near the Clarksville neighborhood. The project will offer a human scale and a sense of domestic comfort in which the entire ground floor is occupied with an urban carpet of shops and restaurants, offices occupy the second floor, a hotel on the third floor, and residences on the fourth and fifth floors.
