A new federal courthouse has been approved in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The 23,411-square-meter, 10-story project will consist of a fluted metal and glass exterior and will be built to replace an existing nearby courthouse that was built in 1979. The architecture studio Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) will be in charge of developing the project.
