Lever House (NY) will be renovated by SOM

The well-known Lever House building will finally be renovated by SOM with the aim of adapting the new design to its original structure. Originally designed in 1952, the tower became a New York City icon 30 years later thanks to its 22-story Art Nouveau-style glass curtain wall construction. Now it will be SOM who, just as it did originally, will revitalize the elements of the tower to adapt it to modern times with new materials.
