The New York City Council has approved, after more than two years of negotiations, the River Ring master plan. The project, in which Bjarke Ingels Group and James Corner Field Operations have been the designers, will include numerous housing for the elderly, a fund for environmental benefits and a community space which will introduce a protected public beach and one-of-a-kind in-water areas for residents to enjoy a variety of water activities.
