We know that sending applications on your own can be very frustrating, and that is why we have the Job+J1 Visa Program to help you find the right opportunity! However, many of our program applicants like to send applications on their own at the same time we are looking for the right opportunity or by themselves all together. This is because while we are continuously expanding the companies that we are working with, there are still many companies in different states that we haven’t had the opportunity to reach out to. So, you can always let our team know if there are specific companies that you’d like us to look into. In the meantime, you have to be aware of the fact that sometimes it may take a little longer than you’d hope. Especially when you are looking for work in a specific city that we don’t often have offers from. In the past, we’ve had some participants that have had to wait a little longer but eventually we find the right offer for them. Things may be a little slow at times, depending on the current market of the city of your interest, but they eventually pick-up.
We recommend that when you are sending applications, it is that you mention your Visa sponsorship from us, which may be in the cover letter or in another section depending on how the application is. That way the company is aware that you can work there for a duration of maximum 18 months, but they don’t have to worry at all about any of the visa issuance processes or fees! If they begin to show interest and they reach out to you, you can then tell them that they can reach out to us if they have any questions in regards to the program or any of the process. In the case that you secure an offer on your own, we will take care of everything entailing the Visa and get in touch with the firm to help you make all the Visa arrangements. We will make sure that a program advisor -which will be assigned to you- stays in constant communication with the company so that all the visa issuance process runs smoothly and quickly. Your advisor will also make sure to give you guided steps on what documentation you will need in order to move forward.
What is important is that you know that you will be guided throughout the whole process!
