My Experience with Architect-US

Starting the Visa Process

I was offered a job at an interior architecture studio in New York City, which was incredibly exciting. However, I quickly realised that I had no idea where to start with the paperwork or what to expect from the US visa experience. I didn’t know how the process worked in the US or which visa I would need.

Luckily, the studio I applied to already knew about Architect-US, as they had worked with them before. I contacted them straight away, and we were able to start the process very quickly.

From the beginning, they took the time to understand my situation and explain which visa I should apply for. The whole process was quite straightforward, and they accompanied me throughout each step. I’m usually a very stressed and controlling person, so having everything clearly explained made a huge difference. I also knew I could get a quick answer whenever I had a question. They were always very responsive to my emails, which made me feel much more reassured throughout the process.

The Embassy Appointment

I would say that the most stressful part for me was the US Embassy appointment. I was originally supposed to start working at the end of September, but at first, the only appointment I could get was in October. Naturally, I started to worry that this might affect my plans.

However, Architect-US reassured me that I should keep checking for earlier appointments. They also told me that everyone they had worked with had successfully made it through the process. They were right!

Eventually, I managed to get an appointment at the end of July. Thankfully, I received my visa just a few days later.

Looking Back

Looking back, I’m really glad I had Architect-US guiding me through the process. Moving to another country for work is already a big step. Having support with the visa and paperwork made the whole experience much less overwhelming.

If anyone has questions about the process, especially if you are applying through the US Embassy in Madrid, Spain, I’d be very happy to share my experience and answer any questions I can!
