Desai Chia Architecture drew inspiration from native oak leaves to shape the metal roof of Chatham Residence, a rural home in upstate New York designed as a retreat for a couple beginning a new chapter away from the city. Set on an 80-acre property near the Catskill Mountains, the house responds closely to its surroundings, from the rolling landscape and nearby forest to the distant mountain views, creating a strong connection between architecture and nature.
