Just when I thought I was settling into a routine, Los Angeles reminded me that there’s always something exciting happening. First, the entire city has been electric with energy. Congratulations to the Dodgers on their victory! The team spirit here is infectious, and it definitely spilled over into our office. We’ve been having office watch parties in the conference room at Bell Design Group, and cheering on the team together has been an awesome way to bond. That same sense of collaboration is what I’m loving about my projects.
Lately, I’ve been helping out with a project at East Glendale Studios, which is one of our company’s own buildings. It’s been fantastic to work on one of our properties and see it from a new perspective.
And that work led to one of the coolest perks imaginable. Because of our involvement with the building, Amazon Music invited our team to an exclusive concert last Thursday… held right there in the studio! The artist was Fuerza Regida, needless to say all my Mexican friends told me they were very jealous of me. They set us up with VIP passes and everything.
Being involved in a project that is part of our own portfolio feels different—it gives you a sense of belonging and responsibility. Walking through the halls knowing that what we design directly impacts a place the company cares about creates a special connection. I’ve loved seeing the building with new eyes and understanding its dynamics.
From celebrating the Dodgers with my colleagues in a conference room to attending a VIP concert at one of our project sites, these past weeks have shown me how unpredictable—and inspiring—this experience can be. It’s a mix of professional growth, cultural immersion, and little snapshots of excitement that make every day feel meaningful. And honestly, I’m loving the way everything blends together here.
