Spring Adventures: Cherry Blossoms, Yale, and Brunch Season

This past month has been full of amazing experiences, and I’ve been lucky enough to take a couple of small but unforgettable trips. I returned to Washington, D.C. to celebrate the birthdays of a few close friends—and our timing couldn’t have been better. We arrived just in time for the peak of the cherry blossom season, and the city was absolutely glowing. Strolling along the National Mall with pink petals floating through the air felt magical. The weather was perfect, and it seemed like the entire city had the same idea. The parks were full of families, couples, photographers, and tourists, all soaking in the beginning of spring.

A couple of weeks later, I had the chance to visit Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. I’ve always wanted to see the campus, and it certainly didn’t disappoint. The architecture was stunning, with its gothic buildings and ivy-covered walls. What impressed me the most, however, was the Yale University Art Gallery. It’s one of the oldest university art museums in the United States, and the collection is world-class. I was thrilled to see works by Van Gogh, Picasso, Monet, and Jackson Pollock, as well as ancient artifacts and modern installations. It’s truly a gem hidden within a college campus.

Back in New York City, spring finally seems to have arrived. After months of cold and snow, the sun has made its grand return, and with it, the brunch season in Central Park is officially open! The first warm weekend, the park was packed. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many people in one place—everyone with picnic blankets, iced coffees, and sunglasses, enjoying the long-awaited sunshine.

Match has felt like a breath of fresh air. Between travels, birthdays, art, and the first real signs of spring, this month reminded me how energizing this season can be.
