This month I’d love to share my day trips at Brush Canyon Trail!
Since I got new hiking shoes, I plan to trek in L.A. as much as I can. The second trail I went to was the Brush Canyon Trail, which will lead you to the top of the Hollywood sign!
In 2022, I went to see the Hollywood sign, but only the park beneath. Me and my friends only just made sure we already been there. But this time was different, there was only me this time, and my starting point was even earlier than everyone since I don’t have a car. It took a while from Main Street to reach the entrance of the park. But I enjoyed the way a lot to see how Americans decorated their house for Halloween. In my country, people don’t decorate the houses since we mostly live vertically. But people here were so serious about the decorations; I love that!
This time I started at noon because I don’t want my skin to get tanned. The path was steeper than the Griffith trail, so I had to stop more often than usual. At first I thought the view wasn’t as good as the Griffith observatory, but when I went more than half of the path, I could see the other side of Los Angeles, which could take my breath. I spent a while there before continuing. During the path, there was a group of horses walking past, with a lot of dust in the air. At the very end of the path was a concrete road, so that hurt my feet a lot, but when I reached the top, I felt the view up there could heal all of my pains. It’s worth a lot! I never thought one day I would be able to see the top of the Hollywood sign like this.
I recommend people who are going to come to Los Angeles and have time should try this trail. I guarantee you will have the best experience there.
