The Populus Hotel has been completed by the Studio Gang architectural firm. The project, billed by its developer as the “first carbon positive hotel” in the United States, is located in downtown Denver.
The hotel has 13 floors and 265 rooms, public and event spaces, and a 12,542-square-meter rooftop garden. Along with this, the Populus Hotel has a distinctive façade with elongated windows. A distinctive façade with elliptical windows of varying sizes, designed to reflect the “poplar eyes” of Colorado’s native aspen tree, also known as Populus Tremuloides.
