The east wing of the Everson Museum of Art in Syracuse, New York, has been renovated by architectural firm MILLIØNS. The project was driven by a commitment to expand public access and integrate the museum’s collection of functional ceramics into everyday use.
The goal of this design is to interact with the play of light and shadow that defines the east wing of the Everson Museum of Art in Syracuse. The wing’s position, mostly below ground level, creates stark contrasts of dark and light, which MILLIØNS architects addressed by introducing reflective and refractive materials.
