A wildfire-resistant house in the American West has been completed by TW Ryan Architecture. The project, called the Four Roof House, is located in a remote area of central Montana and features a corten steel exterior and pyramidal roofs that allude to the mountainous terrain.
The site chosen was a bluff overlooking a lake near the town of Helmville. The site faced challenges, such as fluctuating weather conditions and wildfire threats.
