The Joslyn Museum of Art in Snøhetta, expanded

Restoration work on the Joslyn Art Museum in Nebraska led by Snøhetta and Alley Poyner Macchietto Architecture (APMA) is nearing completion. The museum will reopen on September 10, 2024. The remodel adds new gallery spaces to Nebraska’s largest art museum, becoming the centerpiece of a large-scale project to reinvent the visitor experience. The new pavilion sits atop two granite garden walls, using transparency to create a clearer arrival experience that also increases connectivity with the existing spaces. On the second floor, the atrium is complete with the museum store and a multifunctional community space.
