The completion of The Spiral, the first supertall skyscraper from architecture firm Bjarke Ingels Group, has been announced. This new building, located along the High Line, is the first commercial skyscraper in New York City to feature a «ziggurat silhouette.» The Spiral stands at 314 metres, making it what is considered a «super tall skyscraper» (a skyscraper between 300 and 600 meters tall) and gets its nickname from a series of stepped terraces surrounding its exterior.
