A new public library will be built in Charlotte, North Carolina. The 10,680 square meter project, realized by Snøhetta, will feature a warped rectangular façade and a generous cantilever and will serve as the main branch of the city library, a community space, and as a future connection to the surrounding theater buildings. It will be located on the site of the previous Main Library, which was demolished in August 2023.
