New house designed by O’Neill McVoy

A gray stucco house with a Z-shaped floor plan and an upward-sloping roof has been designed in Houston by the New York studio O’Neill McVoy Architects. The 3,200-square-foot home replaces a 1950s residence that was destroyed by Hurricane Harvey in 2017. The house works to respect the scale and affordability of the original middle-class neighborhood, while also accommodating a non-traditional living arrangement.
