Washington DC could have bird-friendly glass buildings

To minimize the number of birds that are injured or killed by hitting windows, Washington DC is requiring new city buildings to use bird-safe glass. If passed, the law would apply to all new commercial, multi-unit residential, institutional and government-owned buildings in the city.
