3,2,1…GO GATORS!

Going to see the Gators play at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville was amazing, truly an breathtaking atmosphere and such a communal sense.

The stadium is impressive, pictures do not do it justice. You need to see this place in person. The roar of almost 90,000 persons is a sound you cannot describe. The fans love their gators and the team feeds off the energy.

The football player are so YOUNG and TALENTED that you will be surprised.

Built in 1930 on the University of Florida campus, it is the 12th largest stadium in American college football.  You can get reasonably priced seats for most of the games but remember… try to sit on the west side so you are not looking into the sun all game as I did!!! It was very hot but the delicious hand squeezed lemonade helped a lot!

More important is what usually happen before the game…TAILGATE!

Food, drinks, and games are the ingredients of the typical tailgate atmosphere! An ideal location is just North of the stadium, but those spots close to the “Gator Walk” get taken early. People generally look for any open grassy area on the campus side of University Ave.

It was definitely a great experience!

Go Gators!!!!
