The MET is, as everyone knows, one of the biggest and most important and famous museums of art in the world and visiting it is always an incredible experience. It is such valuable both because of their endless permanent collection of all kinds and époques or styles of art, and their temporary changing exhibitions (which are never ignorable and always curated by the best ones and with priceless sources and material).
This time, the mono-author exhibition called «Rodin» was simply amazing. For all those who like or, even better, admire art this one was a must. A major exhibition of one of the best, if not the best, sculptor of all time, Rodin! All his sculptures, the most important and famous ones, those we studied at the school, such as his «Adam» and «Eve» or his masterpiece «The Thinker» were right there, exposed as they never were, in an exhibition that shows his most valuable work.
The way the exhibition was curated and shown is also stunning. An outstanding approach to his work showing to the public his thoughts, first sketches, test sculptures to finally achieve the final piece. Curated with some of the best art sense and shown in a huge rectangular and elongated room, this exhibition is, for sure, one of these that a guest will never forget.
I am, personally, planning to save the pictures as a souvenir to show to my friends and family and am also expecting so excited to see a brand new, also temporary, exhibition called «Michelangelo». Will try to go see it in the next weeks and let you know my thoughts on it, but am almost positive that is not going to disappoint me at all!
