Magazzino Italian Art Museum Upstate NYC

Visit to Magazzino Italian Art Museum

This last weekend I made a trip to Upstate New York, the part of the New York state located north of the city of New York. If you have the chance to go there you shouldn’t miss a visit to this amazing museum, Magazzino Italian Art Museum an old warehouse of dairy products located in an old industrial area converted into a computer equipment assembly plant.
Designed by the Spanish Architect based in New York, Miguel Quismondo, the architecture of the museum itself, its spaces, exhibition areas and yards are amazing.

Magazzino Italian Art Museum

Magazzino Italian Art is a private initiative founded by an Italian couple. Its mission is to create further recognition of Post-war and Contemporary Italian Art in the United States through its exhibitions and programs.

With an extensive library of books and archival materials. Magazzino is available for scholars and students or anyone conducting research in this field.

Also if you go to Upstate New York, Storm King Art, Russel Wright’s private home are other options you could visit.

Totally worth it!
