I\u2019m an architect from <strong>Portugal<\/strong> with over four years of professional experience. Up until now, I\u2019ve built my career entirely within Portugal, but as we started working with clients from all over the world, I realized I needed an <strong>international leap<\/strong>. It was time to step out of my comfort zone to gain new skills, absorb fresh perspectives, and grow both as an architect and as an individual.<\/p>\n<h3>Architect-US and visa process:<\/h3>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"6\">Navigating the process of moving abroad can often feel daunting. Finding the right career opportunity and handling everything from initial job acceptance to official <strong>visa approval<\/strong> can easily feel like an overwhelming mountain of paperwork. Bureaucracy, legal requirements, and international timelines can quickly become stressful. However, having the right guidance changes everything. Throughout my transition, the <strong>Architect-US<\/strong> team was exceptionally prompt, supportive, and dedicated, making a notoriously complex process feel remarkably smooth and manageable every step of the way. Their expertise took the guesswork out of the equation, allowing me to focus on my professional preparation rather than administrative stress.<\/p>\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"6\">Conquering the Visa Interview:<\/h3>\n<p>The Embassy Interview I\u2019ll admit, the visa interview was the scariest part of the whole journey for me, but it turned out to be much smoother than expected. (Pro-Tip for Lisbon: If you are attending your interview at the <strong>U.S. Embassy<\/strong> in Lisbon, arrive well before your scheduled appointment! Getting there early ensures you are one of the first in line, saving you plenty of waiting time and nerve-wracking anticipation.)<\/p>\n<h3>Looking Forward to the Future:<\/h3>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"13\">Now that the heavy paperwork and nerve-wracking interviews are completely behind me, I\u2019m fully prepared, highly motivated, and incredibly excited to dive into this next chapter of my life. Relocating to the <strong>United States<\/strong> marks a brand-new horizon for my design career, offering countless opportunities to collaborate, innovate, and build meaningful spaces.
