Scheduled to begin construction in fall 2026, the museum will preserve the history and legacy of Juneteenth while honoring the work of Dr. Opal Lee, known as the \u201cGrandmother of Juneteenth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Located in the Historic Southside, the project is conceived as both a museum and a civic anchor for the local community.
