{"id":4316,"date":"2017-05-28T18:35:13","date_gmt":"2017-05-28T17:35:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.architect-us.com\/blog\/?p=4316"},"modified":"2020-11-18T14:37:26","modified_gmt":"2020-11-18T13:37:26","slug":"waterfall-designed-by-gaudi-will-be-reconstructed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.architect-us.com\/blog\/2017\/05\/waterfall-designed-by-gaudi-will-be-reconstructed\/","title":{"rendered":"A waterfall designed by Gaud\u00ed will be reconstructed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A trustworthy reconstruction of a\u00a0waterfall designed by <strong>Antoni Gaud\u00ed<\/strong> will be reconstructed and installed in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.museuagbar.com\/#\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Museu Agbar de les Aig\u00fces<\/a> in the catalan municipality\u00a0of Cornell\u00e0, near Barcelona. The original project was built in 1883 to refresh the garden of the <a href=\"https:\/\/casavicens.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Casa Vicens<\/a> in Barcelona,<strong> \u200b\u200bthe first Gaudi&#8217;s work<\/strong>, which was destroyed in 1945. This building will be also reopened next Fall after a meticulous reconstruction.<\/p>\n<p>The reconstruction is led by the architect <strong>Josep Vicen\u00e7 G\u00f3mez Serrano<\/strong>, an expert in the work of Gaud\u00ed.\u00a0<strong>The original measures will be maintained and the materials and constructive procedures of the time will be used<\/strong> in order that the visitors of the museum discover a genuinely Gaudinian work. For reasons of sustainability incorporates a system so that the water that flows from the bow is permanently recycled.<\/p>\n<p>This waterfall-building had a lower arcade from which a curtain of water rose, and on the upper part there was a gallery with the water-tanks on top. Around it was a small pond that collected the water.
