May has been a total whirlwind for me\u2014which is why I haven\u2019t had a chance to post until now!<\/p>\n
As soon as the weather started getting better, I knew it was time to finally use my PTO days and travel as much as I could. I had this feeling that my time here was coming to an end (I was wrong), so I really wanted to make the most of every moment.<\/p>\n
I kicked things off with a trip to Orlando<\/strong>. Visiting Disneyland<\/strong> had always been a dream of mine\u2014and I finally made it happen! Two girls, four parks, one day. Yes, we actually did it! We raced through all four Disney<\/strong> parks and rode as many rides as we could. It was absolutely exhausting but so worth it. The only downside? We had zero energy left for Universal Studios the next day\u2014but hey, that\u2019s just a great excuse to go back!<\/p>\n I went with my roommate Katie, who has honestly become one of my closest friends during this whole experience. She\u2019s made this adventure even more special, and I\u2019m so grateful for our friendship.<\/p>\n After Orlando, we headed to Boston<\/strong>\u2014Katie\u2019s hometown. She showed me around and even took me to see the house she grew up in. It was exactly how I imagined it: like a charming little fairytale town. One of the highlights was the famous Duck Tour, which I totally recommend. It made me feel like a kid again\u2014we had so much fun!<\/p>\n Next up, my mom and best friend came to visit me. I loved getting to show them my daily life and all the things I\u2019ve wanted to do in the city. Now that it\u2019s summer<\/strong>, there are so many events and activities going on. We watched a movie in Bryant Park, visited a few of my favorite cocktail bars, caught a Yankees vs. Red Sox game, and so much more. New York truly transforms in the summer\u2014everyone\u2019s out, everything feels alive, and the energy is just there.<\/p>\n Then came my Miami trip with two friends, and wow\u2014what a blast. I was blown away by the architecture, the food, and the beautiful, clean, and surprisingly uncrowded beaches. One of my favorite moments was biking for hours around Key Biscayne. I felt so free\u2014it was pure bliss.<\/p>\n I\u2019m super thankful that work has been really supportive of all the vacation days I took. They understand that I\u2019m here not only to work but also to explore and learn about different places and cultures in the U.S. I planned most of my trips around long weekends by taking Fridays off, so I was still present for meetings and project work during the week. As long as you communicate with your project leader and team, everything works out\u2014and for me, it was the perfect balance of work and adventure.<\/p>\n
