However, that doesn\u2019t mean they\u2019ve been any less enjoyable. The colder weather has encouraged me to take things at a slower pace, embracing winter in <strong>New York<\/strong> in a more relaxed way.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"591\" data-end=\"1019\">One of my favorite activities has been going on long walks through the city. Whether strolling through <strong>Central Park<\/strong> or exploring different neighborhoods, I\u2019ve loved seeing the city covered in snow. At the same time, I\u2019ve spent more time at home rediscovering my passion for cooking. There\u2019s something incredibly cozy about preparing a warm meal on a cold evening, experimenting with new recipes, and sharing them with friends.<\/p>\n<h4 data-start=\"1021\" data-end=\"1059\"><strong data-start=\"1026\" data-end=\"1057\">Exploring NYC with a Friend<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p data-start=\"1060\" data-end=\"1525\">A major highlight of this period was having a friend visit for a week. Her visit gave me the perfect excuse to play tourist again! Together, we walked across the <strong>Brooklyn Bridge<\/strong>, explored the Financial District, admired the lights of Times Square, and wandered through Chelsea. Of course, no visit to NYC is complete without a Broadway show. We saw <strong><em data-start=\"1409\" data-end=\"1423\">Moulin Rouge<\/em><\/strong>, and it was absolutely breathtaking\u2014the perfect combination of music, acting, and stunning visuals.<\/p>\n<h4 data-start=\"1527\" data-end=\"1569\"><strong data-start=\"1532\" data-end=\"1567\">Snowstorms and Weekend Getaways<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p data-start=\"1570\" data-end=\"1786\">Winter in New York wouldn\u2019t be complete without snow, and this past month brought a couple of major snowstorms. While it made commuting a bit more challenging, it also transformed the city into a winter wonderland.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1788\" data-end=\"1989\">Taking advantage of the season, I traveled to <strong>Pennsylvania<\/strong> and <strong>Washington, D.C.<\/strong>, to visit friends. In D.C., we explored the Hirshhorn Museum and spent our mornings enjoying brunch at different caf\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1991\" data-end=\"2117\">Although this period has been quieter, it has been filled with meaningful moments, great company, and wonderful experiences.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1991\" data-end=\"2117\"><div class='_form_264'><\/div><script type='text\/javascript' src='https:\/\/architect-us.activehosted.com\/f\/embed.php?static=0&id=264&6A8D0F1E24EAA&nostyles=0&preview=0'><\/script>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Quiet Start to the Year: Winter in NYC and Beyond Slowing Down After the Holidays After the excitement of the holidays, the second half of January and the first weeks of February have felt much calmer.
