Although there are a billion things to do in New York<\/strong>, its geographical position makes it a great place to discover other states and neighboring cities. So, I decided to visit some friends living in Boston. There are various ways of getting there, but I decided to take the bus for practical and economic reasons. The journey isn’t that long and we’re comfortable. I also took the opportunity to write this post, and I can tell you there was plenty to write about! I’ve obviously limited myself, but you should know that there’s plenty to do in this city.<\/p>\n

A place steeped in history:<\/strong>
\nIt’s a 6 km urban trail that crosses the city’s various historic sites. Boston<\/strong><\/a> is a historic U.S. city, not only because of its age, but also because of the events that took place here during the Revolutionary War.
\nBy following the red line painted on the ground, you can discover the city’s main monuments and buildings: the Massachusetts State House, the cemeteries, the Old State House<\/strong>… All you have to do is pay attention to your surroundings, and you’ll be able to immerse yourself in the city’s history.<\/p>\n

Harvard, America’s oldest university:<\/strong>
\nTo continue this immersion in history, I then went to the Harvard campus, which unfortunately was empty of students due to the vacations. So I wasn’t able to get a feel for the atmosphere, but I did appreciate the historic buildings and landscaping.<\/p>\n

In New York, there’s the Yankees, in Boston, there’s the Red Sox:<\/strong>
\nNot having had the opportunity to go to a baseball game in New York, I took the opportunity to go to one in Boston. And I have to tell you, I was not disappointed! Not for the sport itself, because obviously I didn’t understand everything about it, but for the atmosphere in and around the stadium. It’s a real opportunity to share and meet people of all ages.<\/p>\n

Sailing on the Charles River:<\/strong>
\nI was incredibly lucky to be able to sail on the river, and what a view of the city!
\nIt was a memorable experience!<\/p>\n

As a matter of fact, the whole weekend was one, and although I’m glad to be back, this Boston interlude will be one more pleasant memory to add to my list.<\/p>\n
