He graduated with a Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in architecture from the <strong><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">UC Berkeley<\/span><\/strong> in 1999. In addition to being a principal at HGW, he established the San Diego chapter of the <strong><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">US Green Building Council<\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Having joined in 2002, <strong><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">Eric Wendlandt ULI<\/span><\/strong> is among the staff members at HGW Architecture with the longest tenure. He has an intense attention to detail and a love for exquisite design. Eric received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from <strong><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">Kansas State University<\/span><\/strong> in 2002.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">Amanda Behnke AIA<\/span><\/strong> began working for HGW Architecture in 2006 and rejoined in 2016, after a brief absence. She is highly motivated by the chance to use architecture to tell stories, and she is always searching for exceptional craftsmanship in all aspects of her work. Amanda earned a Bachelor of Architecture from the<strong><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\"> University of Miami<\/span><\/strong> in 2005.<\/p>\n<h4><strong><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">Randy Hanna, Co-Founder of HGW<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">Arizona State University<\/span><\/strong> awarded him a Bachelor of Architecture in 1985. Randy has almost forty years of experience designing buildings and spaces that people can use. He is passionate about developing architecture and actively participates in the leadership team of the firm. He also likes to travel, play golf, row, and spend time with his grandchildren and children.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\"><strong>Jim Gabriel, Co-Founder of HGW<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>James (Jim) Gabriel graduated from <strong><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">Arizona State University<\/span><\/strong> with a Bachelor of Science in Design in 1985. After earning his bachelor&#8217;s degree, Jim went to the <strong><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">University of California, Berkeley<\/span><\/strong> to finish his Master&#8217;s in Architecture in 1987. The agrarian landscapes, the wisdom of farmers, and life on the edge of land and sea have always inspired him, thanks to his upbringing on California&#8217;s Central Coast.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">Matthew Wells, Co-Founder of HGW<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>Mr. Wells graduated from <strong><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">Montana State University<\/span><\/strong> with a Bachelor of Architecture in 1984. Choosing to pursue his education further, he graduated from the same university in 2009 with a Master&#8217;s Degree in Architecture. Architect-US sponsored her visa and assisted her with the application process. She was able to secure a job at HGW after confirming that she did not require their sponsorship. Her training at HGW began in April 2023 and will continue until October 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Eleonora graduated with honors from the <strong><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">University of Naples \u201cFederico II\u201d<\/span><\/strong> with a <span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">Master Degree<\/span> in 2022. She participated in a Photography Contest in 2019 where she was awarded <strong><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">II Premio Comitato Unico Garanzia <\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">and her Thesis project <\/span>in Project Design, Restoration, and Landscape in Capri titled <span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">\u201cMonte Solaro: History within landscape. Knowledge, conservation, enhancement.\u201d\u00a0<span style=\"color: #000000;\">was mentioned as <span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">&#8220;best academic work&#8221;<\/span> in the University&#8217;s project catalog. During her student years, Eleonora took a year abroad through ERASMUS at <strong><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">Universidad Polit\u00e9cnica de Madrid_ETSAM, <\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">which is NAAB accredited University.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Caiazzo&#8217;s work experience is varied and extensive despite her young age. Since graduating, she has worked full-time jobs and internships consecutively. One of those was as a Graphic Designer at <span style=\"color: #99cc00;\"><b>Julian Lopez Galan Y Asoc., S.L.P.<\/b><\/span> where she was responsible for the post production render design for the project <span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">Escuela Hogar de Bolta\u00f1a &#8211; PIREP<\/span>. For her job as a Graphic Designer, Eleonora also employed her skills in Photoshop and 3D Modeling with Rhino.<\/p>\n<h4><strong><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">HGW Architecture<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8216;s<\/span><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Selected Projects<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">Confidential Client Corporate Office &#8211; San Diego, California<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>The idea behind this corporate office project was to create a corporate campus by combining several leased office spaces. This project was started by HGW Architecture and their client through a multi-phased, comprehensive programming effort that determined the overall needs of the department based on personnel, anticipated growth, and workplace practices. The house is positioned as close to the ocean as possible, and its lofty roof planes open up to let in views and natural light.
