But first, <strong>how do you get to Manhattan?<\/strong> Well, that depends on the airport: New York has three main airports: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.panynj.gov\/airports\/jfk.html\" target=\"_blank\">JFK<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.panynj.gov\/airports\/newark-liberty.html\" target=\"_blank\">Newark<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/laguardiaairport.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">LaGuardia<\/a>. All of them are\u00a0well connected to the city and have many transportation facilities.<\/p>\n<p>So, let&#8217;s go to<strong> know the best ways to get to Manhattan<\/strong>! (Prices and schedules are be subject to change!)<\/p>\n<h4>John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK)<\/h4>\n<p><strong>New York&#8217;s biggest airport operate nearly 80 flights<\/strong>, most of them international. If you come from Europe or Asia you will arive pretty likely to this airport.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a title=\"AirTrain JFK\" href=\"http:\/\/web.mta.info\/mta\/airtrain.htm\" target=\"_blank\">AirTrain<\/a>:<\/strong> runs 24\/7 and costs $5 (children under 5 are free). <strong>It&#8217;s the fastest and also the most economical way to get from and to Manhattan.<\/strong> It links the Howard Beach and the Sutphin Boulevard subway stations and takes about one hour. Another possibility is the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mta.info\/lirr\" target=\"_blank\">Long Island Rail Road<\/a>, a bit more expensive, but takes about 15-20 minutes to get there form Jamaica Station. The total cost will be about\u00a0$7.25.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Shuttle:<\/strong> there are different and reliable companies:\u00a0NYC Airporter,\u00a0<a title=\"Go Airlink NYC\" href=\"http:\/\/www.goairlinkshuttle.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Go Airlink NYC<\/a>, <a title=\"SuperShuttle\" href=\"http:\/\/www.supershuttle.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">SuperShuttle<\/a>. <strong>Go Airlink<\/strong> is among the cheapest.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Taxi:<\/strong> without doubt, the most expensive way to get to Manhattan (but also, the most comfortable probably). Keep your ticket!<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Shuttle:<\/strong>\u00a0you can find the same companies that operate in JFK, but there&#8217;s also <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/newarkairportexpress.com\/Newark\/Home\" target=\"_blank\">Newark Airport Express<\/a>. It costs\u00a0$16 and leaves every 15 minutes.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Taxi:<\/strong>\u00a0we really don&#8217;t recommend that if you&#8217;re a student, as the minimun fare is about\u00a0\u00a0<strong>$50<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>LaGuardia\u00a0(LGA)<\/h4>\n<p>It&#8217;s t<strong>he second airport<\/strong> in terms of the number of flights, but they&#8217;re mostly <strong>domestic<\/strong>. It&#8217;s located in <strong>Queens<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>City bus<\/strong>: <a href=\"https:\/\/bustime.mta.info\/m\/?q=M60-SBS\" target=\"_blank\">M60<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/bustime.mta.info\/m\/?q=Q70-SBS&amp;l=\" target=\"_blank\">Q70<\/a>. The <strong>M60<\/strong> runs to Harlem and connects to all the important\u00a0subway lines; the<strong> Q70<\/strong> does not make any stops to Roosevelt Avenue, in Queens, where you need to get the subway also (only five lines).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Shuttle:<\/strong>\u00a0as before, the same shuttle companies operate also from La Guardia, but the prices are a little lower; for instance, the roundtrip with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nycairporter.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>NYC Airporter <\/strong><\/a>costs\u00a0\u00a0<strong>$27\u00a0<\/strong>(plus Free Walking Tour), <strong>three dollars less than from JFK<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Taxi:<\/strong>\u00a0the ride takes about <strong>40 minutes in traffic regular conditions<\/strong> and costs minimum\u00a0<strong>$35-40\u00a0<\/strong>to get to Midtown.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Have a good flight!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>New York has three main airports: JFK, Newark and LaGuardia.
