I’ve been living in South Florida<\/strong> for a month now. It’s been great so far. Adjusting to the American culture<\/strong> has been an easy transition. People here are welcoming, funny and chill.<\/p>\n

I’m really enjoying my trainee program at Italkraft<\/strong>. Time flies when I’m at the office. I’m learning a lot about interior design; particularly about closets, kitchens and furniture. I spend my days working on designs, cad plans, sections, elevations, and 3d renders. I’ve also been participating in client meetings and presentations. The atmosphere is very dynamic; this is probably what I like the most. I’m not on my desk all day, I’m out and about, picking out finishes, taking measuremets, visiting projects, etc.<\/p>\n

I already have a daily routine, which usually starts with me working out in the mornings. I’ll either go out for a run around the lake or go to the gym of the condominium where I’m staying at. After that I’ll have breakfast, take a shower, and start getting ready for work. I’m very fortunate that my office is only 10 minutes away from the house, so I don’t really have to deal with much traffic at all. My work day will end around 6pm, after which I’ll come back home and relax for a while. I’ve had a lot of friends and family visiting for the past few weeks, so I’ve been going out a lot and getting to try new restaurants.<\/p>\n

At the moment, I’m getting ready to take a written test in order to be able to get a driver’s license. Even though foreign driver’s licenses are accepted for renting cars; if you are planning on buying one, you’ll need to have an American licens<\/strong>e. I would recommend starting the process as soon as possible once you get here, since it can take up to\u00a0 a few months to get it, specially because appointments are limited and there’s a waiting time.<\/p>\n
