The first time I went into an american supermarket I was astonished about the high prices of the food<\/strong>. However, I recommend you to cook as much as you can because buying lunch every day is less healthy. So, where should you buy?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I’ll tell you what I usually do as it works for me and I think it could work for you. For sure another person will have their own suggestions.<\/p>\n

First, I used to compare the cost of one thing, carrots for example, in different markets<\/strong>. That way I had an idea about which supermarkets are less expensive. I realized that it is better to buy almost everything in one place: Trader Joe’s<\/a>. For sure you’ll have to wait a long line to pay, to take all the things you want, and sometimes even to go inside! But it really worths it.<\/p>\n

Besides that, I buy fruit in the street stands and I take advantage of little markets and stores to buy other things, such as cheese<\/strong>. Buying meat is a hard deal. I haven’t found the best place yet, so if you do, let me know!<\/p>\n
