Hello there!

My name is Gregory Gordon, I am a young Colombian architect that will be growing professionally and getting in touch with United Sates culture in about 3 weeks.

I never thought that my career would lead me to another country, but I started to think seriously about that opportunity after architecture school while searching for a job. My family has always encouraged me to explore, grow and travel, so…. I gave it a try and guess what? I’m 3 weeks away from being in Philadelphia.

This opportunity has only been possible through Architect-US, I found about them searching on the internet and when I read their Job+J-1 Visa program it was crystal clear that they had the knowledge and willingness to guide me through the process.

Getting into their pool of candidates was not a piece of cake, it required work and perseverance that was easy to go through with the help, advises and the Go-PortfolioPro course of Architect-US.

I am truly grateful for Architect-US work and mentorship, they really make things happen and my story of landing a job is a proof of it, long story short: I had like a month and a half to get a job offer or I would have to wait until I gain a year of experience to be eligible for the J1, Architect-US helped me land a job in less than a month! I know this is not everyone’s case but they did everything they could to help me out.

So… if you are considering a move to the U.S definitely I encourage you to try it and take the risk, the only things that will bring are new opportunities, new connections and a better understanding of where you want to take your professional career.

Just remember patience, consistency and double, triple check your timing so you don’t have to rush like me 🙂

I hope to have you around for my next post, take care and work hard.
