Barbara Pomilio<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0joins us for her first Portfolio Challenge<\/strong>, even though she has been part of the\u00a0Architect-US\u00a0<\/strong>family for a while now. She was able to get work at Supperette Studio<\/strong> in New York City<\/strong> a couple of years ago, and has been working there ever since. Now she is a Lead Designer at Supperette Studio,\u00a0<\/strong>and always looking for new roles and opportunities to challenge herself.<\/p>\n

Barbara<\/strong> studied in Buenos Aires for 6 years for her Architecture degree at the\u00a0University of Buenos Aires. <\/strong>She is now p<\/span>lanning on getting licensed in the USA, but already got licensed in Argentina.\u00a0<\/span>During her time in University in Argentina, she was a freelancer but you need to balance the different hours needed and the flexibility also means that hours range depending on demand. Barbara<\/strong> worked for the company that she freelanced for, and was able to work over 5 years with them, which has allowed her to understand how to work remotely.\u00a0She explains that there are\u00a03 different experiences every architect should have: work at a small studio, work for a star architect, and working in a corporate office.<\/span><\/p>\n

In KFAS NEW HQ<\/b>, the project is a design for the HQs in Kuwait, and it won first place at\u00a0Wettbewerbe Aktuell<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0TOPOTEK 1 Gesellschaft von Landschaftsarchitekten mbH, Berlin<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and its team along with their counterparts (Dan Budik \u00b7 Martin Rein-Cano Mitarbeit: Pavlo Zabotin \u00b7 Viktor Kopieikin \u00b7 Polina Moskalenko \u00b7 Evgeniia Zuhkova \u00b7\u00a0Barbara Pomilio \u00b7 Jo\u00eblle Cocco \u00b7 Giulia Marioni \u00b7 Fachberater: Transsolar, Stuttgart \u00b7 Buro Happold Engineering, Berlin \u00b7 PACE Architecture, Kuwait) were able to complete this award winning project.<\/p>\n

Barbara<\/strong> worked along with her whole team at Topotek1<\/strong>\u00a0and thus you can see the attention to detail and their prowess for schematic design and the smaller details that make up the entire project. The Headquarters itself is a continuation of the green space and parks around it. By keeping the space indoors open and incorporating trees and plants into the design, you feel a smooth transition as you walk from the coast into the Headquarters.<\/p>\n
