August<\/strong> was an incredible month full of top notch projects, but September\u00a0<\/strong>has been a display of talent just as good!!! There were projects ranging from one that was a whole block of buildings for the gastro-cultural community to another that was focused on creating educational spaces for Engineers. Find out who won for this month!<\/p>\n

With\u00a08<\/b>\u00a0artists’ work being presented throughout the month on all of our different platforms, we have the final winner with the most likes on Instagram<\/strong>!!<\/p>\n

The winner of the $30 Amazon Gift Card<\/strong> for this month, the month of September<\/strong> is… Arunachalam lakshmanan<\/a><\/strong>!!! Applied Construction Technology\u00a0<\/strong>garnered the most likes on Instagram<\/strong> with 125\u00a0likes<\/strong> in September<\/strong>!!<\/p>\n

Arunachalam lakshmanan<\/a><\/strong> has been working for 3 yrs as an architectural assistant and intern for architecture\/interior design firms in India. <\/strong>In APPLIED CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGY\u00a0<\/strong>he seeks to break down the small technical details that go into designing a tall skyscraper, which requires special safety shafts, heating, cooling, and more that must be accounted for down to the last bolt. Arunachalam\u00a0<\/strong>also details the application of a Unitised Panelling System Curtain Wall for the exterior of the structure.<\/p>\n

In\u00a0second place<\/strong> was Santiago del \u00c1guila’s <\/a> La Catenaria y El Arco<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>with 61 <\/strong>likes on Instagram.\u00a0<\/strong>La Catenaria y El<\/strong> Arco <\/strong>was\u00a0submitted to the\u00a0Ins\u00f2lit festival.\u00a0<\/strong>A festival\u00a0which is held in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. The main theme of the event is to rise interest and awareness about the rich cultural heritage present around the city, particularly on traditional houses from the historic urban center of Palma and their courtyards.<\/p>\n

In\u00a0third place<\/strong> was Miguel de la Ossa’s<\/a>\u00a0The Pan Palace<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0with 41 likes <\/strong>on\u00a0Instagram.\u00a0<\/strong>“THE PAN PALACE”: GASTRO-CULTURAL CENTER\u00a0<\/strong>is his newest submission and it was created as his Master’s Thesis at\u00a0ETSAM\u00a0Polytechnic University of Madrid.\u00a0<\/strong>The goal of the project is to create a space for a tight knit community of gastro-cultural aficionados.<\/p>\n

In\u00a0fourth place<\/strong> was Matteo Terazzi’s<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0Learning Centre<\/strong><\/a> with\u00a036 likes\u00a0<\/strong>on\u00a0Instagram. <\/strong><\/span>He views New Urbanism, an architectural movement to build new neighborhoods by maximizing opportunities for social exchange at all scales, as an inspirational movement.\u00a0Learning Centre<\/strong> was created to complement the Polytechnic University of Milan<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0campus by providing another venue for students to gain knowledge and improve their learning spaces.<\/p>\n

In fifth\u00a0place<\/strong> was Cristina Asla Ortiz de Latierro’s <\/strong><\/a>TODOROKI VALLEY<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>with\u00a024\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>likes<\/b> on\u00a0Instagram.\u00a0<\/strong>For her first submission to the Portfolio Challenge,\u00a0Cristina<\/strong> provided a project called\u00a0Rehabilitacion Casa Pastors,<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>while this time around she is submitting a project that is tied\u00a0deeply with Art and design aesthetics. Her project called TODOROKI VALLEY\u00a0<\/strong>draws from her curatorial studies and aims to design a space that is tied to nature, as well as a prayer space in the dojo.<\/span><\/p>\n

In\u00a0sixth place<\/strong> was Alberto Lozano Duran’s<\/strong><\/a> The Shelf – Pandion AG<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0with 23 likes\u00a0<\/strong>on Instagram<\/strong>. After graduating from\u00a0ETSAM<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>he\u00a0went to start his professional career in Germany at\u00a0kadawittfeldarchitektur<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>in the Aachen region.\u00a0The aim of the project was to create an office space that incorporates nature and provides open space in the interior, while creating a balanced space for mobility and for relaxation between office spaces.<\/p>\n

In seventh<\/strong>\u00a0place<\/b> was Stas Gulkowski’s<\/strong><\/a> Brama<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>with\u00a020 likes\u00a0<\/strong>on\u00a0Instagram.\u00a0<\/strong>The aim of his project is to create a gateway to Parade Square, which is the main square in Warsaw, Poland. The square was designed and built together with the main actor of the site – the Palace of Culture and Science, which is a functioning historical monument and the city’s icon. Since the very beginning of the nineties, there were plans for reimagining the space.\u00a0The project’s goal is to make the square unified and consistent. As well as to provide a well-functioning transportation hub for the tourists and other commuters of the city.<\/p>\n

In eighth<\/strong>\u00a0place<\/b> was Juan Camilo Garcia’s <\/a>Private Villa in Moscow<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0with 15 likes<\/strong> on Instagram.<\/strong> For his third submission into the Portfolio Challenge, he continues to design interiors for another top rated villa, similar to his previous submission the\u00a0Jeddah Corniche Tower<\/a>.\u00a0<\/strong>The project this time is an interior design for a villa in Moscow\u00a0<\/b>called Private Villa in Moscow.<\/strong><\/p>\n
