Architect-US<\/strong><\/a> is excited to be joining the 1st International Convention for Architecture and People: Form to Transform<\/a>,<\/strong> a concept created by Arquitectura y Persona<\/strong>\u00a0to help generate a stronger sense of community between architects and\/or teachers.<\/p>\n

For Arquitectura y Persona<\/strong>\u00a0they view “the hope for a better future passes through teaching.”\u00a0It is important and urgent to rethink what the center of today’s architecture is (to put the person back in that place and clean it of other less convenient interests), and also to review who and how we teach this architecture and its founding values \u200b\u200bin the university.<\/p>\n

The Convention aims for a proposal for rethinking how to learn and reflect together on issues that are not normally addressed but that are essential. It seeks to create a breath of fresh air on issues that have real power to change issues in the profession, in society and in our schools.<\/p>\n

It will take place from September 27<\/strong> to October 1<\/strong> of this year, 2021, in a hybrid face-to-face \/ online format.<\/strong><\/p>\n

JOIN THE 1st International Convention for Architecture and People HERE<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

The conventions goals are aimed at:<\/p>\n

TEACHERS<\/strong>: It will be a place for reflection on what is demanded of teacher’s work today after all of the evolutions from recent times, the tsunami that has been the pandemic, and the future times that are on the horizon, hoping to renew their direction, commitment and passion for teaching. It will allow you to network with professors from other universities and receive academic credit for your participation.<\/p>\n

STUDENTS:\u00a0<\/strong>It\u00a0will allow them to learn from great teachers and students will receive an attractive vision of their profession that we hope will awaken and renew their interest and vocation for the career they have chosen. They will receive an accrediting certificate of 1.5 ECTS. They will be able to interact with speakers and congressmen broadening their horizons.<\/p>\n

ARCHITECTS<\/strong> and other CREATIVES:<\/strong>\u00a0It will renew their vision of their training and work in a holistic way. All of participants will be able to make new friends, meet new key characters for their training and activity, as well as receive complementary and necessary visions for their understanding of the creative side of life.<\/p>\n

We will explore the foundation of Architecture and it’s teaching throughout the convention, which will raise issues that the University must periodically reconsider.<\/p>\n

Five days working on five thematic axes:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. TEACHER<\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. STUDENT<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. COMMUNITY<\/strong><\/li>\n
  4. CHANGE<\/strong><\/li>\n
  5. SERVICE<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Every day there will be an\u00a0INTERVIEW, a COLLOQUIUM,<\/strong> and several COMMUNICATION TABLES<\/strong> (open to anyone who has something to say) around the theme of the day.<\/p>\n

    Every day there will be an INTERNATIONAL REFERENCE, an ARCHITECT, a TEACHER, a HUMANIST, a COMMUNICATOR<\/strong> and several SPEAKERS <\/strong>…<\/p>\n

    Every day there will be two personal ENCOUNTERS<\/strong> with people from other cultures in small groups in order to make new friends and broaden horizons in this difficult time …<\/p>\n

    There are three forms of participation:<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. LISTENER<\/strong> completely free of charge,<\/li>\n
    2. STUDENT \/ ASSISTANT<\/strong> will receive an accrediting certificate of 1.5 credits and will be able to interact with speakers and congressmen<\/li>\n
    3. SPEAKER<\/strong>\u00a0(sending a 500-word communication abstract before July 19, there may be an extension, we are evaluating it) for a later presentation during the congress if it is accepted by the scientific committee of blind peer review.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
