July<\/strong>\u00a0was a month for projects focused on residential housing to gardens to green belts around towns, and more. In\u00a0July\u00a0<\/b>the incredible work of\u00a07\u00a0<\/b>architects<\/strong> was highlighted and shown on our platforms, and now we have the final winner with the most likes on Instagram<\/strong>!!<\/p>\n

Last month’s winner was Miguel Majano D\u00edaz’s\u00a0<\/a>The Educational Nature<\/a><\/b><\/strong>\u00a0<\/a>with over 198 Likes <\/strong>on Instagram.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The winner of the $30 Amazon Gift Card<\/strong> for this month was able to get over 118\u00a0likes<\/strong> on their project via Instagram<\/strong>.\u00a0The sixth\u00a0Portfolio Challenge<\/strong> winner of 2021<\/strong> for the month of July<\/strong>\u00a0is…. Alberto Lozano Duran<\/strong><\/a>‘s Neubau des LVR-Hauses.<\/strong> <\/a><\/b><\/p>\n

This project was thought as a complex where different typologies and functions try to reconnect again two parts of the city split in the time by the railways.\u00a0The main problem in these competitions was the design of the entrance to the building, understanding the entrance as an experience that guides the employees or visitors inside the building from the street through different areas and experiences.<\/p>\n

He worked with the Design Team from kadawittfeldarchitektur<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>that worked on this project:\u00a0Tim Witte,\u00a0Alberto Lozano Duran,\u00a0Pawel Pietkum, and\u00a0Guangmin Huang.<\/p>\n

We want to highlight the beautiful work of the other 6 incredible artists that were showcased in JULY!!<\/h4>\n

In\u00a0second place<\/strong> was Arunachalam lakshmanan’s<\/a>\u00a0M.O.C.A.<\/a><\/strong> with over\u00a092 likes\u00a0<\/strong>on\u00a0Instagram.\u00a0<\/strong>Last time he submitted a project called\u00a0THE VEIL<\/a>,\u00a0<\/strong>which represents a solution for covering over older infrastructure that could be renovated to provide even more utility to the community, while also beautifying the area of the city. His second submission aims to create a cultural and social space that allows for artists and citizens to interact in different venues within a large complex.<\/p>\n

In\u00a0third place\u00a0<\/strong>was Daniela Alejandra Santiba\u00f1ez Liberona’s<\/strong><\/a> ELEVATED GARDEN<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>with\u00a088 likes<\/strong> on Instagram.<\/strong>\u00a0During\u00a0her time studying at Universidad de Santiago de Chile<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0she worked on this project. Last time she submitted a project called Social Recreation Center<\/a>, <\/strong>which attempts to revitalize an area of downtown Santiago that was previously an area chosen for a new highway. This time around she is providing us with a project called .\u00a0<\/strong>Her project aims to design and create a kindergarten that includes a connection with nature and is an open space that focuses on promoting collaboration and interaction between the students.<\/p>\n

In\u00a0fourth place\u00a0<\/strong>was Cristina Asla Ortiz de Latierro’s<\/strong><\/a> Residential Hybrid Building<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>with\u00a073 likes\u00a0<\/strong>on\u00a0Instagram.\u00a0<\/strong>For her first submission to the Portfolio Challenge,\u00a0Cristina<\/strong> provided a project called\u00a0Rehabilitacion Casa Pastors<\/a>.\u00a0<\/strong>She has always resonated deeply with Art and design aesthetics, a spark that led her to obtain a diploma in Curatorial Studies.\u00a0<\/span>This time around her project aims to be a flexible and adaptable space for a community to live in.<\/p>\n

In\u00a0fifth place\u00a0<\/strong>was Miguel de la Ossa’s<\/a> EUROPAN 12: DONAUW\u00d6RTH APP<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>with\u00a038 likes\u00a0<\/strong>on\u00a0Instagram.\u00a0<\/strong>Last time he submitted DISCO + DWELLINGS AT THE MINISTRIES PARKING<\/a> ,\u00a0<\/strong>which was a\u00a0creative process that allowed him to run, and practice his sketching and move from abstract to detailed. In this new project it aims to create\u00a0green belt that wraps around the town and provides the community with open green space.<\/p>\n

In\u00a0sixth place\u00a0<\/strong>was Guillermo Traibel Abella’s<\/a> Villa Serrana Lodge<\/a><\/strong> with\u00a034 likes\u00a0<\/strong>on Instagram<\/strong>.\u00a0Last time he submitted his project called Roosevelt Avenue<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0to the Portfolio Challenge.\u00a0In this project,\u00a0Guillermo<\/strong> tries to create a residential villa that is designed to blend into the natural structures around the project.<\/p>\n

In\u00a0seventh place\u00a0<\/strong>was Maria Urquiola’s<\/strong><\/a> Sant Tom\u00e9 Symphony Orchestra<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>with\u00a019 likes\u00a0<\/strong>on\u00a0Instagram.\u00a0<\/strong>In this\u00a0project that\u00a0Maria<\/strong> submitted for her first Portfolio Challenge, it provides us with a look into how she would design and create a beautiful space for orchestra and music to be practiced and presented to the public.<\/p>\n
