Luis Garcia Grech<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>joins us for the first time in the Architect-US<\/strong>\u00a0Portfolio Challenge<\/strong>, he was a part of the Architect-US <\/a>Job+J1 Visa Program<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>in the past, and has submitted his wonderful project called Intervention & Restoration of the Ponce Inter\u00b7Continental Hotel.\u00a0<\/strong>This project provides us with a look inside the beautiful restoration of an old and historic hotel that\u00a0Luis<\/strong> was able to be a part of. Now he is currently working in Madrid with Luis Vidal Architects.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the initial section you see how\u00a0Luis<\/strong> provides us with his strategy to make the intervention in order to add more support to the different beams and structures that needed to be fixed and reinforced. The open spaces are enhanced and more spaces are added in order to make the space feel larger, and you can even see the design for the roof intervention at the bottom.<\/p>\n
