March<\/strong>\u00a0was a month for… \u00a0In\u00a0March\u00a0<\/b>the incredible work of\u00a09<\/b>\u00a0architects<\/strong> was highlighted and shown on our platforms, and now we have the final winner with the most likes on Instagram<\/strong>!!<\/p>\n

Last month’s winner was Miguel Majano D\u00edaz<\/a><\/strong>‘s The Exposed Interior,<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0<\/a>with over\u00a0283 Likes on Instagram.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The winner of the $30 Amazon Gift Card<\/strong> for this month was able to get over 199\u00a0likes<\/strong> on their project via Instagram.\u00a0The third\u00a0Portfolio Challenge<\/strong> winner of 2021<\/strong> for the month of March<\/b> is….Matteo Terazzi<\/strong><\/a><\/span>\u00a0with his project called Free Space<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Matteo<\/b>\u00a0considers himself an architecture lover interested in sustainability of buildings in relation to the individual, urban and natural landscape.\u00a0<\/span>Free Space<\/strong>\u00a0continues his process of trying to design spaces that are open and make the users feel as if there is more space than there actually is. It was created by Matteo Terazzi<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0during his studies at the Polytechnic University of Milan<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0He has always been interested in creating spaces that promote collaboration and creates a sense of belonging to something bigger than just yourself.<\/p>\n

We want to highlight the beautiful work of the other eight incredible artists that were showcased in March!!<\/h4>\n

In\u00a0second place<\/strong> was Nieves Andrea Calvo<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>who\u00a0joined our\u00a0Architect-US<\/a>Job+J1 Visa Program<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0last year, and she was able to make her way to New York City<\/strong> and join Andrea Steele<\/strong> at Andrea Steele Architects (ASA)<\/a>.\u00a0<\/strong>“Atmospheres of the sin<\/strong><\/a>” comes from an intense phenomenological and urban analysis of the context of\u00a0Bordeaux city, where we add a field of personal experimentation regarding the French culture of\u00a0seduction and transgression. Her project was able to receive over 183 Likes<\/strong> on Instagram.<\/p>\n

In\u00a0third place\u00a0<\/strong>was V\u00edctor Gerardo Gonz\u00e1lez, <\/strong><\/a>who is the Founder of VGM Arquitectos\u00a0<\/strong><\/a>and is a professor at Universidad Panamericana.<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0For the Guadaloupe\u00a0Multifunctional\u00a0<\/strong>Building<\/strong><\/a> he aimed to promote the housing and services sector through a neighborhood district. The system must contribute to urban development, promoting interaction of the inhabitants of the neighborhood, promoting life outside the house as well as inside. His project was able to win over 176 Likes<\/strong> on Instagram.<\/p>\n

In\u00a0fourth place\u00a0<\/strong>was Macarena Chaves Martinez’s<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0Ocean Retreat<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>which was created as\u00a0a leisurely escape for those that need it, and want to be near the ocean, and its relaxing sounds. As you can see below, she works with hexagons to design each space and its utility. The final product is a beautiful tower made of different materials. Her Ocean Retreat got over 170 Likes<\/strong> on Instagram.<\/p>\n

In\u00a0fifth place\u00a0<\/strong>was Giulia Pierotti <\/a><\/strong>and her\u00a04 3 5 6 project<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>which she worked on\u00a0during her studies at\u00a0the Architecture of Interiors, Faculty of Architecture at Politecnico di Milano. <\/strong><\/a>Giulia\u00a0<\/strong>mentions that 4 3 5 6<\/strong>\u00a0is an example of her work towards perfecting her craft and design. As you can see, the project is simple yet it tries to show the basic fundamentals that she worked on to become a better designer. Her\u00a04356<\/strong>\u00a0was able to get over 156 Likes<\/strong> on Instagram.<\/p>\n

In\u00a0sixth place\u00a0<\/strong>was Miguel de la Ossa’s <\/a><\/strong>DISCO + DWELLINGS AT THE MINISTRIES PARK<\/a><\/strong>which shows his creative process allowed to run, as you can see in the starting sketches, but then you start to see more form created. You see how the abstract becomes detailed and lays out how to start from foundation to final form. His project was able to garner over 131 Likes<\/strong> on Instagram.<\/p>\n

In\u00a0seventh place<\/strong>\u00a0was Guillermo Traibel Abella’s <\/a><\/strong>Arcobaleno<\/strong><\/a> which is a Recreation Complex in Punta del Este, Uruguay<\/strong>. He provides different options for preserving the tradition and the design style from the 1960s.\u00a0<\/strong>His project was able to get 113 Likes<\/strong> on Instagram.<\/p>\n

In\u00a0eighth place<\/strong>\u00a0was Guillermo del Rio’s <\/a><\/strong>Hornsteinar<\/a>, <\/strong>which he\u00a0started working on during his time at the Polytechnic University of Madrid (ETSAM).\u00a0<\/a>Hornsteinar\u00a0<\/strong>focuses on the design of recycling areas for outdoor areas that promote the recycling of a variety of different materials, while making it simple to use. He was able to get over 54 Likes<\/strong> on Instagram.<\/p>\n

In ninth\u00a0place<\/strong>\u00a0was Juan Camilo Garcia’s <\/a><\/strong>Jeddah Corniche Tower<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>was able to win over 50 Likes<\/strong> on Instagram.\u00a0Juan Camilo<\/strong> comes from Colombia, but much of his career has been focused in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, working as an Interior Designer for firms such as The White Truffle Studio<\/strong> and Hirsch Bedner Associates.<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0Now he wants to take his skills to the Los Angeles scene by joining forces with\u00a0Indidesign.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n
