The Low Line construction will start next year, 2017, since they’ve been crowdfunding<\/strong> the cost of it. Although it won’t be opened until the 2020 you can already visit a prototype<\/strong> placed in the LowLine Lab<\/strong> to get an idea of how it would like.<\/p>\n

So the LowLine aims to use an innovative solar technology<\/strong> made of lenses and mirros to help the natural light get in in order to grow vegetation within while illuminating the historic trolley terminal. The prototype it’s been succesful since they have been even able to harvest food, from mushrooms to grape tomatoes.<\/p>\n

I find it a very smart idea from every point of view. The lowline<\/strong> is taking advantage of an abadoned industrial space and turning it to a place where everybody would like to. This is another way to recycled and therefore to be sustainable<\/strong> as well as making the city greener. Apart from that, it is a really cool idea for a park since in summer time it would be colder than outside and in winter time there would a nice park where to be to avoid the rain and snow.  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
