Sited in a beautiful beach in Lisbon<\/strong>, in August 2020, with some friends surrounding me I\u00a0thought ” It’s time to think about doing something different next year… but what?<\/strong> A Master in business or a Trainee?…” It was difficult to think about the idea and to figure out the way to find the solution.\u00a0 It was on that sunny afternoon that I exposed my thoughts with some Architect friends. They were\u00a0overwhelmed with my ideas ” … studding again… or doing a Trainee with your experience…hummm… where? how? If\u00a0I was you I would choose a very reputable country\u00a0in the Landscape Architecture field.” The idea of USA was tinkling in my head. But, ”How can I have such kind of opportunity its so difficult…” That was when I started searching in LinkedIn some\u00a0foreigner\u00a0architects\u00a0that were working in New York. After contacting some of then I had a really great contact that advice me to take a look in Architect-US<\/strong> Agency. He had had a great experience with then!<\/p>\n

After reading a lot about the program and the agency I decided to structure a plan to achieve my goals, it would be a great adventure … imagine me having an opportunity in United States<\/strong> … oh my… unforgettable!<\/p>\n

I’m a 32 years old\u00a0 female, Landscape Architect and I worked in Morocco and Ivory Coast in some big projects. However I was always in very small teams\u00a0and often I was the only Landscape architect of the company. I needed an experience with a consolidated Landscape architects team in a reputed country to learn with then, to change ideas, to upgrade my methods and fill some gaps in my project process and so much more.<\/p>\n

In September I started\u00a0fiercely applying spontaneously to offices that I knew yet, I followed the jobs opportunity page of Architect-US<\/strong>, I received daily the last jobs posted and I added some office directors in LinkedIn\u00a0so I could\u00a0start my presentation for a possible trainee chance. At the same time, I planned to visit New York<\/strong> and Boston in January to fill the vibration of both cities and figure out if I would like or not to live there. January was perfect for that, good\u00a0prices to\u00a0purchase\u00a0flights, hotels, attend in cultural events and at the same time I would have 4 months between September and January to make\u00a0my dream a\u00a0reality\u00a0and find my host company. If I had the chance in January I would be able to visit some offices and to present myself personally.\u00a0 And you what.. it worked… it happened!!!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Since that moment and after receiving my confirmation email,\u00a0in February , I started all the procedure with Architect-US<\/strong> and right now I have my flight booked for 12th March 2020! Without the effectiveness\u00a0 The Architect-US<\/strong> and the local sponsor it wouldn’t be possible! Here I go to my American adventure!<\/p>\n
