Therefore, one of the first things I did was to look for electrodomestical stores in order to find an adaptor for my appliances (mobile phone, computer&#8230;etc), because in USA they use two flat connectors istead of the european rounded ones. Sometimes there is a third connector, but I have not seen lots of them so far.<\/p>\n<p>People drove me to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bestbuy.com\"><strong>BEST BUY<\/strong><\/a> store, there are several around&nbsp;<strong>Manhattan<\/strong>, and I went to the one placed in E 86th street, crossing <strong>Lexington Avenue<\/strong>. In the E 86th st there are also other cheaper stores:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>PRICE WISE<\/strong> (E 86th st between 1st and 2nd avenues), where the adaptors cost around 5 $<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pcrichard.com\"><strong>P.C. RICHARD &amp; SON<\/strong><\/a> store (E 86th &nbsp;between 3rd and 2nd avenues), where the adaptors for USA and Europe in both ways &nbsp;cost around 17 $<\/li>\n<li><strong>BEST BUY<\/strong>, where there are an adaptor for travelling around the world &nbsp;for around 40 $<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>But there was a problem. The <strong>voltage in USA<\/strong> is 110 V, while in &nbsp;Spain is 220 V. If you buy just an <strong>adaptor<\/strong> to charge your appliances can work for a short time use, but they will be damaged in a long term period of time. Due to this fact, I started looking around for v<strong>oltage converters<\/strong>. I found them in P.C. RICHARD &amp; SON for around 30 $, and in BEST BUY for around 40 $. But on the same cover was written something similar to: &#8220;NOT FOR LONG TERM USE&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>So I decided to buy the USA whole computer cable (the second part of the cable didn&#8217;t have the same connection as my european one) and charge my smaller appliances through the computer. I only found it in BEST BUY for aorund 70 $. I decided I would buy an american mobile phone with a prepaid simcard so I could charge my mobile phone anywhere, and you can find here one mobile for 40 $.
