{"id":15685,"date":"2019-03-01T18:18:27","date_gmt":"2019-03-01T17:18:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.architect-us.com\/blog\/?p=15685"},"modified":"2022-09-12T14:24:37","modified_gmt":"2022-09-12T12:24:37","slug":"nature-excursion-to-fire-island","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.architect-us.com\/blog\/2019\/03\/nature-excursion-to-fire-island\/","title":{"rendered":"Nature excursion to Fire Island :)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This is my first summer in the city and I must say that it gets really warm&#8230; So the best way to get over it is to make a nature excursion and get advantage of the extreme weather \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>So I decided to visit Fire Island, which is part of Suffolk County, New York.<\/p>\n<p>Since my very first days at the city I was kind of curious to visit this part of the New York State, recommended by everyone I talked with.<\/p>\n<p>It was so much worth it! I needed to escape the madness of the city for a day&#8230; The trip to get there was a little bit time consuming. First, we took a one hour train from Penn Station and got to Babylon (a small and a beautiful town). As soon as we got off the train, there was plenty of shuttle service that took us to Robert Moses State Park, an ocean beachfront facility.<\/p>\n<p>The location is equipped with concessions, beach shops, first aid offices, comfort stations, and private outdoor showers. Scenic picnic areas complete with park grills and tables for any group size are located all over the place.<\/p>\n<p>We visited the Fire Island lighthouse, which was a perfect addition to a trip to the beach! The climb to the top was well worth the price \ud83d\ude42 We also walked to Kismet after visiting the lighthouse and enjoyed lunch at one of their great restaurants.<\/p>\n<p>It was so much fun! The whole experience was fantastic&#8230; I truly enjoyed the views of the never ending beaches, the summer breeze and the whole park filled with activity. The state park is so natural, clean and pretty!
