New York has a lot of history, and the most interesting part of it is its renovation and innovation!<\/strong><\/p>\n A good example of this is the recent project for the old Piers in Brooklyn<\/strong>, the Brooklyn Bridge Park. This post-industrial waterfront site stretches 1.3 miles along Brooklyn\u2019s East River edge. The long and narrow\u00a0site spans from Jay Street (in the north) to Pier 6 and Atlantic Avenue (in the south), connecting\u00a0with the piers.<\/p>\n The park, designed by Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates, Inc., includes Piers 1-6, Empire Fulton Ferry, John Street, and Main Street. Also, two historic properties, the Civil War-era\u00a0Empire Stores<\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0Tobacco Warehouse<\/a>, have been integrated into the park.<\/p>\n The park provides green space for active and passive uses including playing fields, sports courts, playgrounds, lawns, a roller rink, a greenway and boat launches for non-motorized vessels.<\/p>\n The area also has a diverse calendar, full of activities<\/a>, including\u00a0concerts and movie’s\u00a0nights during the Summer.<\/p>\n The Park can be a good plan for a sunny weekend\u00a0afternoon or to bring your tourists friend and Family!<\/p>\n After crossing the Brooklyn\u00a0bridge, you can rent a city bike and ride along the piers or just walk through\u00a0the park while enjoying Manhattan’s landscape<\/strong>. After the walk, you can have a delicious\u00a0pizza at Fornino<\/a>\u00a0and then take the Ferry from Pier 6 back to Wall Street<\/a>.<\/p>\n It’s a nice plan; I ensure you!<\/b><\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/www.architect-us.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/bkwaterfront03-300x235.jpg\")
