This post-industrial waterfront site stretches 1.3 miles along Brooklyn\u2019s East River edge. The long and narrow\u00a0site spans from Jay Street (in the north) to Pier 6 and Atlantic Avenue (in the south), connecting\u00a0with the piers.<\/p>\n<p>The park, designed by Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates, Inc., includes Piers 1-6, Empire Fulton Ferry, John Street, and Main Street. Also, two historic properties, the Civil War-era\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.brooklynbridgepark.org\/pages\/project-development#empire\">Empire Stores<\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.brooklynbridgepark.org\/attractions\/st-anns-warehouse\">Tobacco Warehouse<\/a>, have been integrated into the park.<\/p>\n<p>The park provides green space for active and passive uses including playing fields, sports courts, playgrounds, lawns, a roller rink, a greenway and boat launches for non-motorized vessels.<\/p>\n<p>The area also has a diverse calendar, full of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brooklynbridgepark.org\/events\">activities<\/a>, including\u00a0concerts and movie&#8217;s\u00a0nights during the Summer.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-13931\" src=\"https:\/\/www.architect-us.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Brooklyn-Park-Pier-1-Movies-night-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.architect-us.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Brooklyn-Park-Pier-1-Movies-night-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.architect-us.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Brooklyn-Park-Pier-1-Movies-night.jpg 380w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Park can be a good plan for a sunny weekend\u00a0afternoon or to bring your tourists friend and Family!<\/p>\n<p>After crossing the Brooklyn\u00a0bridge, you can rent a city bike and ride along the piers or just walk through\u00a0the park while enjoying <strong>Manhattan&#8217;s landscape<\/strong>.
