{"id":11284,"date":"2018-09-29T10:18:02","date_gmt":"2018-09-29T09:18:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.architect-us.com\/blog\/?p=11284"},"modified":"2019-01-10T10:19:46","modified_gmt":"2019-01-10T09:19:46","slug":"exhibit-heavenly-bodies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.architect-us.com\/blog\/2018\/09\/exhibit-heavenly-bodies\/","title":{"rendered":"Exhibit &#8211; Heavenly Bodies\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><a href=\"https:\/\/www.metmuseum.org\/exhibitions\/listings\/2018\/heavenly-bodies\"><strong>Fashion and the Catholic Imagination\u00a0<\/strong><\/a><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><strong>at The MET\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>I\u2019m sure that if you are a fashion fan you\u2019ve already heard about the MET Gala and the amazing exhibitions associated to it if you\u2019re not, the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Met_Gala\">MET\u00a0Gala<\/a> <\/strong>is an annual fundraising\u00a0gala for the benefit of the\u00a0Metropolitan Museum of Art&#8217;s\u00a0Costume Institute\u00a0in\u00a0New York City.\u00a0It\u2019s organized by <strong>Vogue,<\/strong> with the leadership of Anna Wintour.<\/div>\n<div><strong>After the Gala with numerous celebrities<\/strong>, whose dresses are inspired in the yearly theme, they open the exhibition to the public.<\/div>\n<div>As an architect, I must confess that I would love to work on a project like this!<\/div>\n<div><strong>The concept, the staging, the exhibition, the lighting, everything thought in detail&#8230; the design is reviewed several times and the result is amazing!<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>This year the theme is: how the religion influenced fashion through the years? The result is beautiful! Delicate dresses full of golden materials, embroidery, printed images, and jewelry. You can see designs from all the big fashion brands and designers like <strong>Dior<\/strong>, <strong>Dolce and Gabanna<\/strong>, and <strong>Valentino.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-11445\" src=\"https:\/\/www.architect-us.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/IMG_0638-e1538233562361-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.architect-us.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/IMG_0638-e1538233562361-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.architect-us.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/IMG_0638-e1538233562361-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.architect-us.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/IMG_0638-e1538233562361-740x987.jpg 740w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/div>\n<div>They\u2019ve divided the exhibition into two parts: on in the MET and another in the cloisters. In both places, if you leave in New York they just ask you for a donation as a payment, <strong>you give what you want.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>Apart from the exhibition, if you\u2019ve never been to <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/The_Cloisters\"><strong>The Cloisters<\/strong><\/a>, it worth the trip. The garden is beautiful, and the view is amazing! During the climb, you will have the impression that you\u2019re outside of New York&#8230; it\u2019s quiet and peaceful, no sirens, no traffic, no confusion! The promenade is almost a preparation to arrive at the monastery that imposes itself as a big stone on the top of the hill. The architecture eclectic, with architectural sections from all over the world, and it has a lot of interior courtyards that are decorated with beautiful plants.
