Surely this was \u201cdictated\u201d initially by the inhospitality of the outback of the Australian territory and then became a distinctive feature of how to live it; a living faced outwards. The veranda is therefore the architectural element that realizes the unaware choice above and that allows to realize that need that is essentially the Australian spirit of living.
