One of our star architects in our Architect-US Job+J1 Visa Program family, Katarzyna Lejk, created Melting Pot during her Bachelor of Architecture at Sopocka Szkoła Wyższa (SSW) in Gdansk, Poland. Melting pot, according to Lejk is a design of a social integration pavilion with culture forming functions, services, education and gastronomy.

She goes into great detail about the different materials and necessary modifications for the structure to be durable, yet Lejk also provides details and suggestions for enhanced social integration. As an architect and an engineer, she has a distinct perspective that fuses the arts and the sciences. Lejk is now working in New York City as an Architect and Material Science Engineer!
To encourage interexchange of culture and ideas, how would you design your social integration pavilion?!?! Leave us your thoughts in the comments section below!! 👇👇👇
