In April of 2018, I presented my final school project in Barcelona. After all the hard work I decided to take off to the US for a couple of months of vacation and discovery. And now I am on my way to NYC as an intern.
New York was definitely the highlight of my trip and as soon as I found out that Architect-US would help me having a professional experience where I asked for their advice to find a suitable internship.
Soon, I fell in love with a boutique office that I will be joining in less than ten days. Architect-US has been extremely helpful throughout the entire process and has made my dream of living and working in the US reachable. In a timeline of only six weeks, I have gotten an offer, gone through some serious paperwork, done an interview at the US embassy in Madrid and received my J1 intern visa.
In the meantime, I have also dealt with housing in NYC, bank accounts, flight booking and all the other details that have to be ready before I take off in just a couple of days. I can’t wait to start my NYC adventure! These are my first days on my way to NYC as an intern.
