NYC Rooftop Bars

Summer nights are just around the corner and I cannot think of a better way to enjoy them than combining New York’s nightlife with its spectacular views.

I’ve been asking around for some local advice on which are the best rooftops to visit (to some I already went, others are on my NY bucket list), and here is the list I came up with:

Azul On The Rooftop at Hotel Hugo

(Soho)

It has an amazing Havana vibe and a 360-degree view. The bar has two levels, a closed bar with big windows and an open rooftop. One of my favourites, for sure.

Le Bain at The Standard

(Meatpacking District)

This very famous nightclub also has a rooftop to enjoy the views.

230 Fifth

(Flatiron District)

The best spot for getting a direct view from the Empire State Building. In the winter, you can sit down in their heated igloos and experience the views from there. It tends to be a big line outside, and it’s a bit touristy, but still a good option.

Bar 54 – Rooftop Bar & Lounge

(Midtown)

Bar 54 is one of the most popular rooftop bars around Times Square. You will find it above the Hotel Hyatt Times Square New York, specifically on the 54th floor (hence the name).

Mr Purple

(Lower East Side)

Here you’ll find two terraces. A smaller one for private parties or a little calmer atmosphere, and a large terrace with a rooftop pool and a little more party.

Hotel Brooklyn Bridge

(Brooklyn Heights)

Very stunning views of lower Manhattan and a quiet Brooklyn vibe.

Output

(Williamsburg)

A club with an impressive roof deck to get amazing views from Manhattan.

Westlight at The William Vale Hotel

(Williamsburg)

Located on the 22nd floor of the hotel, it’s one of the best spots for getting breathtaking views of Manhattan.

This is the recommendations I got, but I’m sure there are plenty of other good options, and I’m more than willing to hear them to get the most of the spectacular views New York has to offer.
